Cleveleys on the Fylde Coast
Cleveleys is a mere 4 miles from the centre of Blackpool, just a short tram or car ride away from the Blue C Hotel.
Cleveleys first came about when a Mr Cleveley built a hotel for tourists in the 19th Century. It boasts Jubilee Gardens, with children’s play area, miles of sandy beaches and a wildlife haven for migrating birds. The beaches are perfect for family visits and the affordable shops and restaurants in the town are a hit with all that flock to the town.
The promenade has recently undergone renovation and now includes artworks and exciting architecture, ideal for enthusiastic walking groups.
Up until August 2009 Cleveleys hosted the Jubilee weekend now renamed Cleveleys Sea Festival to be held on July 4th 2010. This will include a parade along the promenade , music and entertainment throughout the town and local schools, businesses and local people taking part.
The second Saturday of every month sees the Thornton Clevelys Farmers Market (march to December) held at Thornton Little Theatre. For more information click here.
Cleveleys is a delightful place to visit and we hold up to date information and leaflets on the Blue C Hotel premises. There are hotels in Cleveleys but The Blue C Hotel is ideally situated as a central point to discover all the Blackpool, Fleetwood and Cleveleys has to offer.
